There is a thread that connects four generations of passion and hospitality — a thread that weaves through time and continues to renew itself today, uniting past and future in an alchemy of well-being.
This is the story of the hotel that has always been part of the life of Comano Terme.
Great-grandparents Bernardo and Maria, with the Osteria Alla Torre, delighted the palates of their guests at the end of the 19th century, while grandparents Anselmo and Carmela introduced the warmth of hotel hospitality by transforming the inn into the Pensione Cattoni.
Giancarlo, the second of four children, expanded and brought the family business to success. Thanks to his brilliant entrepreneurial spirit, Hotel Cattoni became one of the most renowned in Trentino. It later took the name Hotel Plaza and subsequently Comano Cattoni Holiday, with the involvement of his daughters and grandchildren.

Osteria alla Torre (1880)
It was 1880 when Bernardo Cattoni and Maria Cobelli decided to open the Osteria alla Torre, a simple and welcoming refuge for wayfarers and villagers.
Here, amid the warmth of the fireplace and the aromas of home cooking, the Cattoni family’s tradition of hospitality was born.
Pensione Cattoni (1950)
As the years passed, Bernardo’s son Anselmo and his wife Carmela transformed the inn into a boarding house.
Pensione Cattoni was born, a place where the simplicity of tradition was enriched with new spaces and services to welcome guests with care and attention.
Albergo Cattoni (1970)
With the arrival of the third generation, the pensione embarked on a new path of growth.
In 1970, under the leadership of Giancarlo Cattoni, the Cattoni Boarding House was transformed into the Cattoni Hotel, marking the transition from a simple structure to a more modern and refined hospitality.
Hotel Cattoni (1977)
The biggest change came in 1977, when the hotel was completely rebuilt, becoming the Hotel Cattoni.
With larger spaces, renovated amenities and increasingly attentive service, the hotel was beginning to become known as one of the most welcoming destinations in Trentino.
Cattoni Hotel Plaza (1980)
In 1980, the hotel took the name Cattoni Hotel Plaza, becoming an icon of hospitality in Trentino.
It was a golden age: galas, live music, magic shows, and the now-famous election of the hotel’s queen filled the summers with elegance and fun.
The hotel was always full, guests returned year after year, attracted by the lively atmosphere and warm welcome of the Cattoni family.
Comano Cattoni Holiday (2007)
In 2007, the tradition passed into the hands of the fourth generation: Cristina, Alessia and Alessandro.
Under their leadership, the hotel was renewed again, taking the name Comano Cattoni Holiday and confirming its role as a destination for those seeking relaxation and nature.
Family hospitality remained the beating heart of the hotel, but with an eye increasingly on modern needs.
Alchimia WellResort (2025)
After 140 years, Diego, who grew up in Ponte Arche and had worked at the hotel as a boy while studying at the university, took an unexpected step: together with Iris, he decided to take over the hotel, creating a new vision.
In 2025, Alchimia WellResort was born, a place that holds the history of four generations, enriching it with new stimuli and an innovative concept.
